An exercise physiologist is an Allied Health professional who specialises in the benefits of exercise to help patients get fitter for all around good health, or to treat patients with a medical condition through exercise.
They are much more than an ordinary personal trainer at the gym; Exercise Physiologists study at university and have a wide range of knowledge about the human body and the benefit that exercise has on it, both mentally and physically. Learn more.
ONLINE KIDS SPORT PERFORMANCE
APA’s KIDS program has evolved from its basic Crossfit foundation into a Strength & Conditioning program that is safe and effective for all children. It is designed to be SAFE, increase strength and power, enhance motor fitness skills and sports performance, prevents injuries and improves the psychosocial well-being and overall health of children.
Realistic goals that we have of this program include, improved strength and power for sports performance, improved strength around joints, prevention of sports related injuries, improved self confidence, improved flexibility and improved posture.
BURN – ONLINE LADIES ONLY 30-45MIN CLASS
APA in Coffs Harbour is happy to announce BURN which is a 30-45min High Intensity Interval Training (H.I.I.T) style class for women only. It involves high intensity cardio with basic strength exercises all completed within 30-45min.
Every class includes:
– A warm up that is designed to get you ready for the challenges of the day’s workout.
– Stretching to increase flexibility and prevent injury.
– A fun and intense conditioning workout that changes every day, combining cardio, weights, and core training.
– A group of motivated individuals and coaches who will help keep you motivated and accountable each day.
Our program is a functional strength and conditioning program with constantly varied workouts that provide results in all aspects of fitness. It combines gymnastics, weightlifting and endurance activities like running, rowing, and cycling. We do everything from body weight movements like push-ups, pull-ups, and squats through to advanced barbell lifts such as the clean and jerk and the snatch. Everyone receives the individual attention that they deserve as a member of CoffsAPA.
